OptoForge Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the OptoForge controlled beta.

OptoForge is currently operated by: Justin Ogheneruemu Eghaghara, trading as OptoForge.

By creating an account and using OptoForge, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The controlled beta is available only to people aged 18 years or older.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure.

2. Educational purpose

OptoForge is a clinical-learning and professional-development platform.

It is intended for education, simulation, retrospective learning and professional development. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, monitor or triage a real patient, make a live patient-specific management or referral decision, or provide patient-specific prescribing or dosage instructions.

It does not provide individual patient care and does not replace:

• professional judgement;
• formal education or supervision;
• current clinical guidance;
• prescribing regulations;
• local referral pathways;
• emergency procedures;
• or direct patient examination.

You remain responsible for your own professional decisions and for complying with the requirements of the jurisdiction in which you practise.

3. ForgeAI

ForgeAI provides AI-assisted educational support.

ForgeAI may teach diagnostic reasoning, management principles, referral reasoning and image interpretation in simulated or retrospective learning contexts. It must not be used as a live patient-care decision-support system.

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate for a particular clinical situation.

You should critically evaluate AI-generated educational information and verify clinically important information against appropriate current sources.

ForgeAI does not determine or certify your real-world professional competence.

4. Patient confidentiality

Do not submit identifiable real-patient information to OptoForge.

Where you discuss a clinical scenario for educational purposes, use only appropriately de-identified information and only for simulation, retrospective learning or reflection. Do not use a ForgeAI conversation to obtain a clinical decision for a real patient in active care. You remain responsible for ensuring that your use complies with your professional and legal obligations.

5. Clinical Development information

Scores, bands, learning recommendations, activity history and Clinical Development information are educational indicators based on evidence available within OptoForge.

They are not:

• licences;
• professional credentials;
• university grades unless explicitly stated;
• employer assessments;
• regulatory decisions;
• or guarantees of clinical competence.

6. Controlled beta

OptoForge is currently in controlled beta.

Features may:

• change;
• be removed;
• be unavailable temporarily;
• contain defects;
• or behave differently as development continues.

Beta users are encouraged to report technical problems and potentially incorrect clinical content through the reporting tools provided.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use OptoForge to:

• provide unlawful services;
• enter identifiable patient information contrary to these Terms;
• attempt unauthorised access to another user's account or data;
• bypass access controls;
• interfere with the security or operation of the platform;
• extract confidential administration or system information;
• misuse ForgeAI;
• upload content you do not have the right to use;
• or reproduce protected OptoForge or third-party material without permission.

8. Intellectual property

OptoForge and its original platform content, software, branding and original educational materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.

Third-party content remains the property of its respective rights holders.

Access to OptoForge does not transfer ownership of those rights to you.

You may use learner-facing educational content for your personal learning unless a particular resource states otherwise.

You must not systematically copy, redistribute, sell or republish OptoForge content without permission.

9. Content you submit

You retain responsibility for content you choose to submit.

You confirm that you have the right to submit it.

You grant OptoForge only the rights reasonably necessary to host, process and display that content for operation of the service and the purpose for which you submitted it.

Do not submit confidential third-party or identifiable patient information.

10. Availability and changes

OptoForge aims to provide a reliable learning service but does not guarantee continuous or error-free availability.

The beta may be updated, suspended or changed where reasonably required for:

• development;
• maintenance;
• security;
• legal compliance;
• clinical governance;
• or service improvement.

11. Account suspension

Access may be restricted or suspended where reasonably necessary because of:

• material breach of these Terms;
• security risk;
• misuse;
• unlawful activity;
• serious abuse of other users;
• or risk to the integrity of the platform.

12. Liability

OptoForge is an educational service.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, OptoForge is not responsible for clinical decisions made independently by users based solely on educational content or AI-generated responses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory rights that apply to you under applicable law.

13. Privacy

14. Ending use of OptoForge

You may stop using OptoForge at any time.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to users in their country of residence.

16. Changes to these Terms

The Terms may be updated as OptoForge develops.

Where required, users will be asked to accept a new version before continuing to use the service.
